Women's Ministry

CECF Women's Ministry under the direction of Elder Deborah Merritt is dedicated to encouraging deeper and stronger relationships between the women of all ages in the body of Christ. We are a vibrant, active ministry and we provide several options throughout the year for our women to participate in. We have regularly scheduled events such as our monthly 'Covenant Time', an uplifting fellowship with other women in the body, but we also sponsor events outside of the church, such as group outings to local plays, shopping trips and more. Our annual Women's Wednesday's services in October are targeted specifically to encourage and celebrate womanhood. Twice monthly we publish a Women's Ministry newsletter with information, announcements, prayer lists, upcoming events and articles relevant to our local body.

Regularly scheduled Women's Ministry events include:

Covenant Time (held on the first Friday of each month)
Women's Breakfast (annual time for fellowship and fun)
Women's Wednesdays (each Wednesday night in October)
Mother/Daughter Tea (held each May)
CECF Women's Ministry Newsletter (published on or around the 1st and 15th of each month)

Our goal as a ministry is to reach women in our body as well as outside in other churches and in the community. We encourage all women to join the Women's Ministry and work together to bring wholeness to to our lives. If you are a member of Christ Emmanuel we invite you to become active with the Women's Ministry! We have big plans for 2008 and we need you to make them happen!

Our Mission: to create a safe place for fellowship, relationship and growth.

Our Vision: The vision of the CECF Women's Ministry is to encourage the building of healthy and balanced relationships among women through fellowship, with one another and with God; as we become the women that God has created us to be.

"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." - Philippians 2:1-4
