While on a Mission to the Dominican Republic Mother Helen assisted a new church plant through medical assistance and preaching. She evangelized Haitian refugees and native villagers via puppets, vacation bible school crusades, teaching, preaching, music, tracts, and testimonies. She worked with a team of 20 medical professionals, ordained and lay ministers. In Nigeria (1999, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2006) Mother Helen ministered with a team of 30 in six areas to over 1600 people and served over 1000 adults and children resulting in salvation of hundreds at a time. She prays for the sick to receive healing, and preaches on spiritual warfare. In harsh conditions, sweltering heat, and heavy rains she overcame and brought charitable gifts and supplies in both urban and rural areas, from villages to small towns; throughout Nigeria. Mother Helen withstood opposition and transported Bibles and teaching materials to churches in the Bush or “interior” of Africa, Gboko, Abuja, Adipo, and many other villages. Skilled in foreign travel logistics planning, she procured guides for assistance in native lands and coordinated transportation to various destinations securing expenditures before departure. Most recently in Mamelodi, South Africa, Elder “Mother Helen” Davenport planted 14 fruit and vegetable gardens in local areas, fellowshipped and prayed for the harvest with those people receiving the gardens, and ministered to the South African children in song, stories, and face painting with a “Jesus” theme. Mother Helen was called to serve globally, and we are blessed to have her locally. She is a licensed Minister and Evangelist, has an Associates Degree in Biblical Studies, and is currently completing her B.S. Degree in Ministry and Leadership at Cincinnati Christian University. |

Elder Helen Davenport, affectionately known as “Mother Helen”, is a compassionate Missionary, results driven Evangelist, and well armed Prayer Warrior for the Kingdom of God. As a Missionary determined to reach the lost and care for those that need her “Mother’s touch”, she has traveled across the globe. In China/Hong Kong she reached thousands, and risked her life to deliver Bibles, teaching materials, and spiritual literature to underground churches. Adjusting to life threatening situations, uncomfortable long journeys, maneuvering in massive crowds, and unsanitary conditions, she learned discretion and confidentiality.
