Bishop_1-2Bishop Michael E. Dantley, Ed.D. is the Senior Pastor of Christ Emmanuel Christian Fellowship in the Walnut Hills community of his native Cincinnati, OH. He and his wife, Pastor Carol B. Dantley, have been the overseers of Christ Emmanuel Ministries for over 30 years. Dr. Dantley is committed to teaching of the Word of God and believes that in order for the Body of Christ to mature and be equipped for ministry, the five-fold ascension gifts: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher must be firmly established in the local church.

Bishop Dantley and Pastor Carol shepherd a congregation of a few thousand in the inner city of Cincinnati. Assisting them in this endeavor is a five-member governmental leadership team, as well as Christ Emmanuel’s staff and a cadre of ministry volunteers. During their tenure, the church has become one of the most progressive churches in the Tri-State area. Several not-for-profit organizations have been birthed under Bishop Dantley’s leadership including Christ Emmanuel Christian Academy, and The EXODUS Program, for rebuilding unemployed or under employed men who have been homeless, incarcerated and addicted.

Christ Emmanuel equips its members to do the work of the ministry while impacting the marketplace and the world. Four governing service values: Integrity, Service, Excellence and Cooperation, guide this visionary and the ministry. He is the author of Destiny Image Publishing’s, “Born Again,” on the second birth experience.

Dr. Dantley has to his credit a number of prestigious educational accomplishments. He attended the University of Pennsylvania where he received his undergraduate degree in History and Education. He continued his studies at Miami University of Ohio, where he progressed to the Master of Education in Educational Leadership. Dr. Dantley earned his doctorate in Educational Administration, from the University of Cincinnati. He has received a certificate in leadership from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

In addition to shepherding Christ Emmanuel Ministries and providing apostolic oversight to the pastors of several congregations around the country, Bishop Dantley is employed as a tenured professor at Miami University and has been published in several journals as an educator. Dr. Dantley has toured extensively around the nation and world, instructing on Spiritual Leadership, and various other subjects. Recently, Dr. Dantley was promoted to the position of Associate Provost and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at Miami University.

In 2004, Bishop Michael E. Dantley celebrated 36 years of marriage to Pastor Carol Belton Dantley. They are the proud parents of Ryan Nichole DuPree (Sylvester), Cameron Michael Dantley (Andrea) and Jonathan Schuyler Dantley, and the proud grandparents of Nicolas Michael DuPree and Evan Maxwell DuPree.
